Trying to maintain muscle during long preseason basketball workouts...

In the last two months I have put on 10 lbs while my body fat % has stayed practically the same. I'm trying to put on 10 more lbs in the next 4 months, but have to start preseason basketball conditioning in a month. I was wondering if there is any sort of supplement to drink during ~2 hour intense cardio workouts to prevent too much muscle from breaking down. I will be eating 4000-5000 calories already, but am kind of paranoid about losing my gains.

You could get a supplement like xtend or purple wraath and drink it before or after or during your conditioning. In my opinion I honestly believe protein shakes are just as good if not better, a whey or 2 before and a whey or 2 after working ouy and I bet you wouldnt lose anything except maybe fat.

I will sound like a broken record, but BCAA/EAA will help a ton. I would recommend:

Xtend
Xcell
Purple Wraath
ICE
Make your own from TP.com
