Everyones different and everyone changes too.
When i first started out, i couldnt eat anything before going the gym, i'd have to go the gym at least an hour after eatting or maybe a little longer - other wise i'd feel sick!!
Now, over 3 years later, i need to eat a fair sized complex carb meal about 30 - 45 mins before the gym and then have a protein shake and a glass of fresh orange right before i leave to go the gym - otherwise i feel sick through hunger!!! lol
the total opposite - so i know everyone can be different, just do whats best for you.
The thing to remember is not to go more than 3 hours without food.. so fit that rule into your lifestyle
