Thumbs up Starting to see results...carbed up after 1st week

I went ahead and carbed up after my first week (24 hours, but not a massive amount of carbs). I figure it might take me a bit longer to reach total ketosis, but that I would eventually get there. I work out hard during the week however, 5 days a week with 2 to 3 HIIT sessions included.

This is the end of week number 2. I'll have my PWO drink and a couple apples tonight, nothing major. Then tomorrow I'll have full 24 hour carb up.

I had a lapse Wed night and had a bit of a carb binge. So I started R-ALA Thursday and did an HIIT session after lifting. Went ahead and stayed on the R-ALA today.

I've already started to notice the fat coming off. So I'm really excited to get into week 3 and 4. My biggest challenge was like Wed, where I had some alcohol and then lost the fight to my carb cravings.

Anyways, just had the need to rant. Wanted to send a thanks out to Eileen whom has been very helpful in getting me started.

Congrats on your progress!

Booze was definitely hard for me to kick, as I used to go out 4+ times per week sometimes; I feel your pain there! It amazes me how much of a social outcast you can become by saying 'no thanks' to a drink from your friends.

Don't beat yourself up too hard about slipping up, it happens to everyone. The important thing is to not let it get you down and to keep fighting the good fight

You have to kill those cravings. When I get them, I usually put down a few tablespoons of natural peanut butter or some whipped cream on sugar free Jell-O. Kills those cravings dead.
