Wish me luck for my stupid waiter test tommorow

So this place i am working at has a hardcore 5 day in a row training program for waiters, and tommorow I need to take this ridicolous 2 hour test, and if I dont pass I basically get fired. I need to study for an hour or two tonite, and then some more tommorow. I think it is pretty absurd that I need to actually study for a stupid summer waiter job like it's a college class, but I have no choice if I want to work at this place. This is gonna suck

If i get below an 85 i fail, and basically there is no way I can remember everything. We have to remember like everything on the menu and all the ingrediants, and a whole bunch of other stuff, but it's like as much stuff you would get for a college final.

There is no way i can find another job in time. I am only working until like the end of july, then I move to florida for law school. Otherwise i would have quit this place in a second. But now im stuck with it, it's either here or no job for the summer and i can't not work for the summer. This place seems like a fine place to work, very organized and people are always running your food for you if you aren't around so you will always give good service and make tips. It's just this stupid training that really sucks a lot.

well im sure I could if i wanted to, but summer is supposed to be my down time. Im sure i could stay up tonite for 3-4 hours, memorize everything, wake up tommorow and study for another hour or so and then get a 100% on this test, but there is no way i'm doing that. I put forth that much effort into college and I plan on doing the same for law school because i have to, but im not gonna stress myself out and study for hours for a stupid summer job. I work hard at all my jobs regardless, but for me there has to be a limit.

The main issue is we have these 20 dishes and we have to memorize all the ingrediants in each one (each dish has like 5-9 ingrediants). Then we have to memorize 20 alcoholic coctails (not common ones like pina coladas, ones they exclusively make at this place) The rest of the stuff isn't really that hard, i can read it once and it's stuck in my mind, but the memorizing the dishes and drinks is the huge hassle and pain for me.

that is when your food is ready out of the kitchen, but instead of letting it sit there if you aren't there to "run it to the table" other people will just grab it and give it to your table so they dont get pissed. When i worked at Bennigans, no one did that and if i was really busy with other tables, food would get cold and be sitting there for a while and it killed my tips.

LOL. When I worked as a waiter, I Just had to wait on my manager. I ****ed it all up because I couldn't take it seriously. But they said I did fine.

i am taking this as serious as I possibly can for a summer job, but in the end it is still a summer job and nothing more. Im not about to stay up all night and make sure i know this 100% and be sleep deprived tommorow. Im gonna study for an hour or two, and try to do my best tommorow. Hopefully just showing them that I know the majority of stuff but maybe not every minute detail will be enough
