I don't feel like opening it, but I'm assuming that it was a kid who just got invited to a Kharazan group and he didn't want to log off. So he pretty much begged and pleaded with his mom. May not be this incident but this one was posted on the WoW general forums today.

That kid has some issuses!

Parents are right to limit how much he plays. I remember when I used to play some games, parents used to stop me from playing lots and im certainly greatful for it now!

I also plan to never have kids. But if life throws me a curve ball I would never let them play a game like WoW which devours their time. Youth is the most important phase for learning, its important to develop good habits and teach kids about the world, not waste away on some pointless repetitive game.

I played WoW for about a month before realizing what a time sink it would be and how pretty much every level was the same as the last. Just a long, pointless grind to see your damage numbers go slightly higher. Sure you are interacting socially, but you really aren't doing it on a healthy level. I'm not anti-game, I love games with good stories or ones that are fun, but I'm definitely against a game that requires endless repetitive tasks in order to accomplish virtually nothing. There is entertaining, and then there is pointless.

I'll thank my parents for a lot of things in life, and one of them was limiting the amount of time I spent playing video games.

The sheer investment that some of these idiots (yes that's what people are who spend hours a day on a video game) have. I think when you come to the point where you are bartering real life currency for pixels on a screen, which does happen, is when you should consider killing yourself.

But srsly if I was that kid I would ****ing not cry like a bitch and shut them the **** up. If you tell them to **** off their last defense is to hit you or take **** away. So my advice is to lose dependence on **** thats theirs and call the cops if he touches you.
