Isnt there a certain county in... Alabama maybe? where all the big money cases go?
I think its the place where the lady was awarded so many million dollars because the mcd's cup didnt say the coffee would be 'hot'
I would think personal injury would be a high paying one, if you get a good case obviously.

actually mickie d's coffee was much hotter than the prescribed range of temp that are set as legal for coffee. The coffee cost her 3rd degree burns that should not have happened if mickie d's coffee had fell in the right temp range, but people always make it seem like she is the idiot who took advantage of the legal system, when the reality is mickie d's are selfish assh*les. She even offered to settle it by having them just pay for her medical expenses but they refused.

Oh, well haha Guess thats new information to me. I had just thought it was suing over the fact the cup hadnt had "warning: contains hot coffee" or somethign along those lines (Reminds me of Kramer on Seinfeld)
Thank you for posting that information.

I thought the same too, it was only after we studied the case for one of my law classes that I was told of the real story. Wiki also has the real version too.

real estate. after 2-3 years at a firm you have enough money to start buyin properties yourself and you don't even need clients. with a jd you can do all the transactions yourself. tis a sweet life.

Patent law/Intellectual property is currently the most lucrative and is categorized in the corporate law sector. In order to get in you're going to have to get into one of the top 14 school or be at the top 5% of your class at a tier 2 and make law review boards. Competition is extremely great here. Don't expect to get in.

I am going to either Corporate law or Entertainment law. If you want the big bucks you should steer towards Corporate, or if you want something very lucrative but extremely boring go into Patent/Tax law.

yeh but there is the whole common sense thing too.....why would you ever put a hot cup of coffee between your legs? It's because of people like that why my cars navigation system says "do not use while driving"
anyways to the OP, healthcare law is a pretty big field. You can range from working the legalities of hospitals to representing doctors in lawsuits

I will probably do corporate law because people are always whining about what the big businesses are doing.
