Best Before Bed Snack
After reading multiple Threads on here I want to know what you think the best Pre-Bed Snack is
1) Cottage Cheese and Peanut Butter/Almonds
2) Caesin Shake w/ or without Peanut Butter
3) Whey Protein Shake Mixed with PB/Almonds
i currently have CC and Peanut Butter
would having the protein shake with peanut Butter be as slow digesting as CC and Peanut Butter?
just curious
thanks for the input

ive done cottage cheese and PB for months now before bed
but a whey shake and peanut butter sounds damn good before bed..
i also doubt that the whey and PB would stick in my system as long as CC and PB is tho.. thats what im worried about

if you are tired of cc and pb and want a shake then go for a casein shake and pb.

bedtime snack
Either cottage cheese or try Quick Oats sprinkled with your favorite protein powder. I use Quick Oats with BSN Syntha-6 and it tastes great!

I think casein powders are a waste of money. Drink a few cups of milk, or get a milk protein isolate powder. Casein powders (ALL of the cheap ones, even some higher priced products) just use calcium caseinate and even then aren't 100% casein powder--many I've seen have more whey than casein. While whey and casein might be the "best" mix for any time of the day, I think you can get a whey and casein mix much cheaper by drinking milk and using a whey powder. Milk protein is 80% casein, and you can usually buy a gallon for under 3 dollars..you might even get some free IGF-1

I really need to take some kind of meal/shake before bed , i really don't like CC
was wondering about Ultramet protein shakes , they have 41g of protein but they also have 23g of carbs
i smoke an herbal stress remover a few times a week right before bed and tend to get a little hungry so was thinking about 1/2 a shake with maybe a scoop of natty PB
this is also kind of important as i'm switching back to morning cardio

I'd vote #1, but this is what I have every night:
2tbsp natty pb
3/4 cup cottage cheese
1/3 scoop chocolate whey
1/4 cup oats
1/2 cup skim milk
Mix in a bowl for magical deliciousness
