Hi everyone, I'm new here. My name is Dominique, and I'm 20 years old. I'm a political science student, junior in college, and I plan to go to law school later on. I'm not representing the school Carolina, just NC the state.
Aside from PE classes, I was pretty much sedentary in highschool. When I started college though, I had free access to a gym and made use of it. Since I was TOTALLY new to working out, I started out with just a little lifting and a lot of cardio. Later, I dated a wrestler, and he taught me a lot about lifting. Although I am no longer with him, I continue to go to the gym. I have taken a fitness class and a weightlifting class at school. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week. 3 times a week I work upper body and abs, and 2 times a week I work lower body and abs. I stretch and do kickboxing on all those days. I was always chubby before, but working out has made a big difference there too. When school's out for the summer, I go to the best and most complete gym around. When school's in, I just go to the gym there since I don't have a car. I also take walks, skate, kickbox, etc. I want to add karate and DDR to my cardio routines soon.
Although my body may not look impressive, and my records may not impress most of you, I am thankful to God for the progress I've made thus far.
