just buy whichever brand that has the highest EGCG content in their green tea.

my opinion is the green tea extract is fine it give you antioxidants and helps metabolise fat and maybe speed up fat loss but the green tea diet is too expensive and waste of money.
for fat burning supplement in the uk i recommend this. 2/3 cheaper than the expensive fat burners and safe if you follow the dosage. goto a good sports shop or a reflex stockist.

Either buy some egcg/polyphenol supp or get yourself a large bag of lipton/twinnings pure green tea(as they're fairly cheap and a quality green tea) and brew yourself a few cups a day. I believe each tea bag brewed contains ~190mg of polyphenols/catechins.
I just take 3 bags and throw them into a large cup of hot water 2-3 times a day for my egcg dosage.

Pills are fine, as long as they have a high EGCG content. Drinking freshly brewed green tea will help increase your water intake, which is good anyways, but the pills work fine too if you want to down them with a bottle of water.
My green tea pills are the generic store brand from my local health food store. They have 75 MG of EGCG, which is a good amount. It's about $15 for 100 capsules.

Well all green tea pills are made up of some EGCG, but the labels dont mention it. So i dont know if i should get any, iy just says "green tea" and like 200mg or something.

If it's a respectable brand it should tell you the amount of EGCG on the label.
The brand I buy from The VitaminShoppe says this on the label
"Green Tea Extract (CAMELLIA SINENSIS)(LEAF) STD. TO 75% POLYPHENOLS 187.5 MG, 30% EPIGALLOCATECHIN GALLATE 75 MG"
indicating that it has 75 MG of EGCG.
Overall, stop worrying about what brand is best and get the one that you feel is best for you that is within your budget. Many of the green tea supplements are quite similar.

green tea extract tends to be more concentrated dosage in pill form. 300mg to 500mg is a common dosage.
ideally the green tea should be loose tea not the ones sold in teabags. i not found a source that sells loose in my local shops the best quality green teas are japanese but never actually make it out of Japan and sold not to the public, that being said there is a lot of high quality green tea on the market. so buying english brand you have not much luck knowing where the source comes from. goto a good health food shop that sells lots of loose powders and chinese herbs if you can. you really need to order online to get a real good un.
