1. Water won't help. Trust me. It only makes it worse...
2. There are creams for this.
3. Next time, get some shade or something.

Get the Aloe I.C.E. + Lidocaine. It sooths the skin and keeps it from hurting. Get it well oiled up with lotions and aloe and take some extra vitamins and antioxidents.
Next time use some SPF 30.

I had plenty of burns like this before. When you put a shirt on it hurts. When you lean back on the chair, it stings your back.
The way I got through it: I slammed the door as hard as I could on my dick, and that diverted all my attention away from that.
Seriously, be a man. Only way you'll get through it. It will last 1-7 days (or slightly more)
Putting water on it will agitate it more. There are creams for this that are made just for this: soothing the stinging 'sensation'.
Try not to think about it. Grab your balls and do something, stop trying to think about it, DAMN IT!
Also, I'm guessing if there wasn't a lot of sun, and you still got burned like this, then your either: Snow White (basement/dungeon style) or just very sensitive. So wear some lotions or whatever when you go out again. You don't want it becomming worse. Trust me, you won't die. Quit bitching, and you'll get through it.

Have a cool shower to take the heat out. Apply moisturiser everywhere. Sit in a cool breeze.

The first thing we learn in Australia about being sun safe, is that UV RAYS DO GET THROUGH CLOUDS! So to all you guys thinking you aren't going to get sunburnt just because its cloudy are wrong and there is a very good chance you will get burnt.

the itch that comes after a really bad sunburn (not just "pink") is when the fun really starts...i've spent many nights during the summer lying awake in bed wanting to tear my skin off it itched so bad.

esmir........
1) aloe vera......when i've had sunburn so bad, i couldn't even stand sheets against my burned skin, i got an aloe vera plant and just broke off the stems and applied the inside right to my skin
2) soak tea bags in water (hope you have a lot!) and put that on your skin.....it will draw the heat away.
good luck!

you idiots! when it is cloudy, you get sunburned more... because the UV rays reflect off or go through the clouds...

I've been burned to point of having pretty bad blisters a few times on my back. My skin wasn't pink, it was dark red. It took about a week for it to peal off.
And I have heard that you get burned as much or even more on a cloudy day.
