Best product for oil/holes on nose (serious)
Okay, so I've been using a blackhead removing cleanser to wash my face every day (and also use a "Basic" bar soap to wash my face during showers as well) and the blackheads don't really show anymore, but you can still see the holes in my nose (or over-sized pores or whatever) and you can still see the whitish oil seeping out of the holes after I shower, but they disappear or go back in the pores a couple hours later. How can I get those mother****ers out and make the holes in my nose less visible? I've been using the one of the Clean and Clear blackhead product for the blackheads. But what for this oil/holes? There's so many different types of products, and I DON'T have any acne or pimples. Just this stuff on my nose that's the problem.

It's really hard, because there are like dozens of them, and I try to squeeze my nose and they start to come out, but I can't get them to protrude enough to get them out. When I let go of my nose, they just start to go back in. Isn't there a product that will rip inside the holes and burn/rip that **** out? It'll probably look like ****ing empty craters afterwards, which is why I'm also looking for another product that will minimize or make these giant pores disappear.

YEA, that sounds mighty ****ing hardcore. I wanna try that ****, like waxing hairs off. Sounds badass; do you know any specific products that are good for this oil crap? Also, do you know if there are any side effects that'll damage my nose or some ****? Cuz I don't want that.

open pores/enlarged w/ever they are, I have them too.
Dont use soap to wash your face, makes em worse. Use a sensitive skin face wash for men. couple times a week, use a face scrub. Rinse off with warm water, then rinse with cold to close them up a bit. After that moisturise your face.
sounds teh gheyness but my skin looks good, pores are better and I get told I look younger then I am a fair bit.

The "oil" is probably just pus coming out of the "holes" which are just probably just inflamed pores.
Try out the Biore strips. I remember using that **** and all of this black and grey **** came out on it.

I wanna try this gentle method (no homo), but if I use these "Biore" strips, is that bad for my skin? Since it sounds like a quick solution, but it might not be the best long term. Also, you got any product suggestions for the sensitive skin fash wash and face scrub and moisturizer?

How much do dermatologists usually charge for a session to analyze and suggest products?

No insurance here. I still wouldn't pay $40 if I had the money. I honestly don't think it's worth it.

They are fine on your skin. It's what movie actors have been using for years and years. We couldn't even buy them until the past few years. I've been using them for a while now and my nose and my face just feel cleaner. Kinda expensive tho.. I do recommend them though.

I used the nose strips and they worked pretty well. Just leave them on for about 15 minutes and when you take them out, youll see the white heads and black heads on the strip and youll see on your nose the opened pores.

Okay, so the strips sound cool, so I'll go shopping for them.
But about minimizing the pores' sizes so I don't have ****ing craters the size of the moon on my nose, what should I do about that? Use the "sensitive skin fash wash and face scrub and moisturizer" method exbunobooga suggested?

In order to treat the problem I think I should first explain what a pore is.
A pore is the opening in the skin where a hair follicle comes out. Half-way through your skin there is the sebaceous gland that pumps sebum (skin oil) up each follicle. Both the hair and oil come out of pore.
That's where the problem is. When proper exfoliation isn't used, the pores dilate (close), but sebum is still being produced.
The sebum pools and nourishes bacteria in the pore. Also, the oil, bacteria, dirt, dead skin cells, and other things you just don't want on your face choke the opening. This congestion expands the pore. Then, with this expansion the crud comes into contact with air - which causes oxidation resulting in the black appearance.
So how can you reduce this build up?
1. Stop using that bar soap on your face - it is way too harsh for you facial skin and will result in drying out your skin. It will temporarily reduce the size of your pores, but when you dry your skin out so harshly your sebaceous glands actually produce more oil to compensate.
2. Don't use products containing fragrance - They will only serve to irritate your skin and result in possibly more issues.
3. Avoid harsh products - Toners/astringents containing alcohol will provide a tightening result, but they will over dry your skin - resulting in more oil production. Those strips will serve to "open" your pores - but they are incredibly hard on your skin and serve in no way to help keep sebum under control. Plus they hurt!
4. Plan a regular skin care regimen - I would say washing at least twice is day is bare minimum, but you will have to see what works for you.
5. Use products containing salicylic acid - It serves as a gentle exfoliant that will help clear out your pores.
6. Use oil free products - You don't need to add extra oils to your skin! We're trying to remove that. On sunny days use a gel sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 that is oil free.
7. Don't use moisturizer - In the case of oily skin your dermis is producing enough oils as it is - we don't need more moisture.
8. Don't touch your face and keep anything that touches your face clean - regularly wipe down your cell phone, headset, or what ever else touches your face with an antibacterial wipe of some sort. Keep those fingers and hands off your face and nose as well, All those cracks and creases on your palms and the gap in your fingernails holds tons of dirt, grime, oil, and bacteria that we're trying to get off your face. You don't want to be putting it back there after you wash it off. Make sure to wash your hands regularly as well.
How to wash your face.
Prep your skin with luke warm - warm water to open your pores and wash away excess dirt.
Gently apply your cleanser to your skin - don't rub hard
Rinse thoroughly with luke warm water - make sure no residue remains.
Make sure to exfoliate your skin with a scrub once a week. As with your face wash - make sure it is unfragranced and be gentle with it - don't scrub until your skin turns red and make sure to rinse with cool water.
Finally, you should talk to either an esthetician or a dermatologist. They have the tools and the medications that can fully address your skin problem. I realize it may cost more then just buying something over the counter, but these are professionals - not salespeople.

Thanks for the advice. The problem mainly seems to be just at my nose, because everywhere else on my face has been fine for almost my whole life. It's just this part of my nose that's an issue, with the blackheads, oil seeping out of the pores, and the giant holes that are left when I try to remove the blackheads and oil from each pore.

Neutrogena has a product made specifically for reducing pores. It cleans your pores chemically, by alpha hydroxy acids (ALPHA). The name of it is "Pore Refining Cleanser".

I've seen that product on the commercials a lot, I think. Does it actually work?
