I feel like i have this vacuum pose all wrong?
I used to be realy overweight about 2 yrs ago, and then I lost about 50lbs. But the past year or so i have been eating more and trying to gain some mass, but its weird because when I do this vacuum pose all that happens is my rib cage pops out like im a skeleton! Am I doing this wrong? Sorry I feel like an idiot asking this. Heres a pic

your posing is a little off, but thats not the main problem i think, you need a certain level of mass to be able to pull off a vacuum, in your case too much of your rib cage is showing, so id suggest working on your lower lats and just getting a bit bigger all around.

Ok, yea ive been told that doing some weighted crunches might help build my abs and heavy deads for my middle core. I guess ill just keep on eating and bulking until Im big enough to not see my ribs haha

The vacuum pose is a wonderful pose that accentuates your v-taper and and adds to the illusion of the body even more. With this said when you are skinny it is VERY hard to to pull off a vacuum pose and have it look decent, you need muscular lats and big shoulders, back and arms etc because otherwise like you said you look like a skeleton. Also, one has to take into consideration the shape of their rib-cage some have a good shape that fits well when performing the vacuum pose while others the shape is not as pleasant.

X3
You need more mass. With a stronger and more massive core and abs, you won't be able to make your abdomen so convex. I used to be able to do that when I was younger/smaller.

yeah sorry but its one thing to be able to do the pose itself.. but its another BIG thing to have the body and mass to actually make it look good, you got a lot of work to do there
