Retro Dorm Life Eating This Week

So i just moved to Fort Worth for the summer and I am couped up in a hotel this week until i get into permanent housing. This is definitely a throw back to my dorm life days of clean eating. Yet again proving to college kids that clean eating can happen in a dorm style setting (microwave and minifridge only.) Here is what i purchased tonight for the week.

1 loaf natural whole wheat bread (no HFCS)
1 gallon skim milk
1 pre-cooked rotisserie chicken (take the skin off)
5 bananas
5 shrink wrapped, ready to nuke potatos
1 2.5 gallon water jug/dispenser thing
2 cans of tuna (for when the going gets tough, i've overdosed on tuna and eat it as little as possible now.)
1 jar natty peanut butter

*i brought my bulk oats and whey with me

The total cost of this shopping list was about $30.00. I don't think that is too bad for the week. Plus i will be able to eat lunch at work (consider this the commons.) In the cafeteria i can get a myriad of healthy food choices.

Going shopping definitely brought me back a few years. I was about to just go shopping like i normally would, but then i figured that there would be no way to cook chicken or anything like that. Ergo i resorted back to the 2003 shopping lists (yes i keep stuff like that in a big folder/notebooks) This hotel is so much like a dorm i just might crank my music as loud as i can and randomly walk around the halls at 4:00 in the morning.
