Civil Air Patrol?

I'm thinking about joining right now actually, it seems pretty cool and if the PJ Orenientation Course seems really worth it. Anyone in or was in Civil Air Patrol? What's the average day for them? Can I switch from Air Force to Full Time Active Duty Air Force? I'm not sure which branch to join yet(I'm 14 so yeah..), would it be a problem to switch a branch? BTW, I would want to join before Summer so I can do PJOC during this summer, can I join that quick?
