Abs in 1.5 months with Hydroxycut Hardcore? Lets see...
OK so first for any potential flamers.. yes i need to bulk, yes im a weak piece of fat, and yes i really shouldn't be trying to cut, etc etc..
So anyways, heres my story. Me and a couple friends decided to have a friendly ab contest. The rules are simple, if we dont get abs by July 1, we have to pay $200 each. Whoever gets abs, will receive a share of the pot. If no one gets abs, $600 goes towards a party fund. Basically, get abs, or lose $200. We will have judges.
I figured, might as well give it a try! I worked out fairly seriously a couple years ago, but since then havent touched the gym. I thought this might be a fun thing to do, and initiative to get back in there. I know I will gain back any weight I lose by July 3, but whatever
Earlier this week I began my workout routine which consists of 4 days of lifting and 5-6 days of cardio (1hr of squash or stationary bike). I'm on a 500 calorie deficiency diet, taking whey, multivitamin, etc. But the really fun part was picking up a (pretty expensive) bottle of Hydroxycut Hardcore on Wednesday.
After buying the HH, i've read a bunch of posts discussing its effectiveness, so I figure Id turn my one and a half month ab quest into a Hydroxycut Hardcore experiment!! I'll try to post pics up every other day (promise I wont suck in too much), and by the end of this, we should be able to determine if HH works as well as they say; when used with a decent exercise and diet plan of course!
Day One Pics, May 16 (timestamp is a day ahead): Taken the evening of my first pills. I started with 2 pills, 2x a day. Cant waste time on the 1 pill 2x a day dosage. Ok intensity workout earlier that evening. Got my ass whooped in squash, which meant good cardio. Drank about a gallon of water (almost 4 litres)
Day Three Pics, May 18: Taken just now. Yesterday I took the same dosage as the first day, and had another ok workout, but only lifting. Today I forgot to take my HH in the morning, so only had two pills all day. Bought some ISO XP protein though, and damn that strawberry tastes freakin sweet with milk and half a banana!!!! not to mention 45g protein in one scoop, great buy. Again I neglected my workout, didn't have time... yes its the worst excuse.
More pics in a couple days! Oh an btw, I'm actually beginning to see some veins that were nonexistent for the last 2 years HAHAH, pretty exciting stuff ;P

What do you mean by 'having abs'?
I'm pretty sure all of you have abs already, haha.

good luck with wining the $600.
BUT i have just one question what is your diet like??
hydrocut wont do nothing unless your diet is correct along with your training. you mentioned you missed you workout because you didnt have time!!! thats not the way to go about it. also i didnt see any abs training in there!!
think you should get the basics down first

^^^ What he said. And also why the **** would you just do this and then piss it all away with drinking and partying?
Sounds like a bit of a ghey program, but to each his/her own.

hahhaah thanks for the posts guys. I know I need to bulk up, but I really just wanted to have some fun since my friends made this bet. I'm hoping that this will lead to me being serious about hitting the gym regularily, rather than being lazy for the last couple years.
And yep I agree just about any fat burner wont do anything without working out and eating right. which is why I'm trying to do it right... obviously, missing workouts isn't right, but I'm trying my best to stay disciplined!
Anyways, heres todays pics. Ran 8k this evening (thats a lot for me), after an afternoon of 18 holes of golf walking, no cart :P Wow this ab challenge already saved me 15 bucks... Slowly but surely haha

That's awesome man. I've been trying to lose my abdominal fat too. I believe that defined abs make a body look good no matter if you are skinny or buff. I started April 4th. Here's a before and after of April 4th - May 4th.
I'm kicking my workouts into high gear now as summer fast approaches. I can't believe it's already almost June! Where did this month go? Hopefully we will both have visible abs by July!

Great job!! Seriously man, summer came so fast... I remember it being february when i wanted to get started, and it wasn't till 3 months later that I did hahaha. Not much time left, hope we both get it done by July.
How often do you work abs? Ive read a lot that say it shouldn't be exercised too often, but i dont mind doing it every day if it helps...

I try to work them every other day or whenever they aren't still sore. I was doing lots of bicycle crunches, but now I mainly do standing cable crunches. I'm not sure what works best, but variety and changing it up every so often is probably good for 'muscle confusion'. I'm also trying to do as much cardio as time permits. Ideally, it would be every day for 60 minutes, but I've had to skip a few times. During cardio, I aim for mild to moderate interval training. So I go slow for 60 seconds, then moderate speed for 60 seconds, and so on. I don't want to push myself too fast on the cardio because I want to minimize catabolizing muscle.

How is your progress coming along? I'm going to up the ante and start jogging interval style for at least 2.5 miles a night in addition to elliptical work.

Are you talking about the ab wheel? Yeah, you can feel the burn for days after a solid workout with that thing. I've been focusing more on standing cable crunches, but I will start using the ab wheel more often too. Thanks for the motivational comments guys. Ysong, how is your progress coming along???

So on the hydroxycut stuff, does it work? I am doing lite cardio now, no sugar/cokes, 5 meals a day (high protein/low carb) and working out 4 x a week.
So does the hydroxycut really add to the speed at which you drop fat?
Also, whats the opinion around here on the other fat burners that get hot in yuor stomach, they "burn" supposedly...
Do they help? Or not too much...
I cant wait to see how your challenge goes with this.
