Eat, that will help muscle loss.

Many people make the mistake of starvation, even me at one point.

The way you cut BF while trying to preserve as much muscle mass is to dial your calories in correctly. Keep lifting weights hard and heavy like you've been. Add 3-5 cardio sessions and try to do them immediately after your weights or 12 hours apart from weight sessions. Find out what your daily calories requirements are and lower them by 300-500 calories a day. The important thing to preserve muscle mass is to try lose the weight slowly. Keep the protein high and make sure you're eating lots of meals.

If you do things right you can preserve a good percentage of your lean mass but nothing is going to keep your loss 100% fat with no muscle. For instance I've done everything in the book to keep as much as possible and ended up with a 1.5-2lb lean loss out of 12.6. Thats actually not that bad of a ratio because if your training and eating suck it can easily be 50/50. Now if you just started training it might be possible to put a few pounds or even it out but its pretty much impossible for a trained individual to do since it requires eating excess Calories.
