Pulse Of The Maggots
I recently downloaded one of Slipknot's new songs and I think its pretty fuvkin' awesome.
I've been a fan of Slipknot for a long time and I'm really hoping their new album is as great as Iowa and Slipknot. I never found a copy of their first album though...
So, has anyone else downloaded this song and what do you think of it? And have you seen Slipknot's new masks? They are pretty fuvkin' cool, I think.

I won't download the track or buy the album, because they are overrated whores who play fake metal. You don't need nine people to make music. Listen to some real metal. But then again, being a Manson Freak explains a lot.

Slipknots older **** was pretty hardcore, same with Mudvayne for being in the high mainstream. Now, they blow hard IMO. I went to a Slipknot concert back when they were the break out nu metal band, and they rocked the house. Now there realy isn't that much more to say, the masks look cool though. I think ill just stick with the good old **** like Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Skinless, Cryptopsy, Immolation, Incanation, and other real hardcore bands. If you like metal kid, i suggest you look up those bands.

Y'all just haters. You people put them down and say listen to behemoth etc - well those groups ARE ****ing ****, they cannot pull off anything which doesn't sound COMPLETELY the same, even after 5 listens of one of their albums. Slipknots success frustrates you. Jealous.

I don't see why metalheads hate Slipknot so much, and I myself am a tr00 metalhead. It's not like Slipknot ever claimed to play, or are trying to play, death metal. I'm not a Slipknot fan myself, as I can't really get into the three chord percussive riffs, samples, and DJing. However, I still find Slipknot to be infinitely better than hip hop or that pop-punk stuff that is popular these days.

When you guys talk about having Slipknot's new album, are you guys talking about Iowa.
The newest one (Vol 3. (The Subliminal Verses)) doesn't come out until May 25th and unless you have a time machine in your garage, I'm not sure you have it.
Unless, I have my release date wrong...

Their new album is... well what can I say... poppish?
They got like 2-3 accoustic songs on it, they are more "melodical", and Corey actually SINGS on this record
They are going to become really mainstream now, but I'm not complaining really, I actually enjoy this new record.
(And yes, I'm an old slipknot fan so I enjoy their old heavy stuff too)
EDIT:

It does come out May 25th, but it can already be found on the net.

Corey is quite talented at singing (and screaming, lol). One of my favorite songs on their Slipknot album is 'Me Inside'. He sings during some of the song. And I bought the Stone Sour CD because I love 'Bother'. Its a great song.
