picked up some turkey breast meat...so?
allright so went to the store today and instead of getting another thing of chicken i decided to bring home some ground up turkey breast. i wanted to make some burgers with them, but before doing so i was wondering if its necessary to add anything else to keep them together as a patty? or do i need to put in a teeny bit more fat so it doesnt dry out? all advice welcome, thanks!

Egg whites work pretty good, but not too much. I like putting green onion, garlic, tobassco, sundried tomato kind of thing and mix it in. Add in some evoo for more oil.

I assume u r making ground turkey breast . . .
I'd add one whole beaten egg 4 each pound of ground meat & combine well b4 cooking. That will help it hold it together & moisten it a little. U can flavor it up too if u want, but I prefer to put onions, tomato, etc. on my burger separately.

A question regarding the turkey you bought: My uncle who works in the meat department of a supermarket tells me that when you buy ground turkey, it's actually quite bad for you. He says that they put more than just lean meat in it, but more parts of the turkey (bone, other body parts) and just grind em up. Should I not worry about it?

I'd either add an egg or use some olive oil when cooking to keep them from sticking/ drying out.

i bought turkey breast meat, this means it is strictly from the breast and not just regularly labeled "turkey meat"...it was this one:

Since it's so lean, you can make some great chili with it, too...
