Hmmmmmm Did not see myself like this....
So as most of you know I have been working out for quite a few years now. I have gained some size naturally and only naturally, but I never knew how much I had gained until yesterday. Yes, I know I am fit but size is one thing I always battle with thinking I am still my 95lb self....lol and I am far from that now.
So we are going out to eat I have nice tank on with nice shorts that come to about mid thigh. I am walking through the parking lot notice eyes on me, going to the table again eyes on me, so I ask my husband what the hell do I have a bugger hanging out my nose? He said no but I think they are looking at your legs. I said no way I am not that big and I am not even dieted down all the way (almost though).
So I get up to go get some more salad and counted how many people were watching me then I saw myself in the reflection and almost did not recognize myself....lol
I did not realize how much bigger my legs have gotten and how muscular they look when I walk. I knew they had gotten bigger due to my shorts not fitting in the legs but damn I guess all the blood sweat and tears has made them flourish tremedously. And this year they are measuring 21" leaned out instead of 19"......whooohooo...
I just had to share my thoughts with you ladies....

I dip, you dip, we all dip....dip to the east, dip to the west ......dip to get that tricep.

Funny how hard it is to lose that in-grained mental image of yourself. I often find myself looking at other women and thinking, "Is that how I look to other people?" I am still very self-conscious about wearing shorts or skirts in public.
Congrats on your progress... I envy you!

Wow! That's awesome! I'm super jealous
For me it's the other way around. On the inside I'm still fat and very out of shape - I'm much bigger in my head than in real life. After working out for about 4 years I STILL get nervous before fitness classes and before getting on a treadmill because I'm afraid I won't be able to last 10 minutes.

Congrats to you, it's always nice to hear about the success. I think we often forget about that and focus on the negative (myself included of course). Great JOb.

95 lbs? Seems like I remember hearing something about a 98 lb weakling once...I would have never guessed you weighed so little. You look so strong! You've definitely been doing some great work!

Sunshineslynn I find this so interesting, in my mind I still see myself at 135lbs. Maybe this is a clue to why we keep at it.
Anyway, outstanding work! Keep up the hard work

Wow ,lookin' great sunshine... It seems so easy to remeber what we use to look like.... I have no full length mirrors in my house , after I lost alot of weight I hadn't noticed it that much until I was at my mother-in-laws house, she has a full length mirror. I was shocked.... It has been over a year and I still forget until I see myself in my summer clothes in front of a nice big mirror,,then I remember why I percivere (poly not how u spell it) Then I wonder why everyone seems to be staring too..Then it hits me ,Your arms are almost 14.5 inches around ,takes time I guess to conform to your new body ,and see yourself as others do , Well for me I think it is going to take time... I still have that ,is my gut hangin out panick attack when I'm out... Anywho congrats on your progress .
