I need some advice about moving in with some flatmates

I'm in college and am going into my final year. A good friend of mine asked me if I would move in with him and 4 other guys (I don't know them, only to see).

Edit: he needs two people to move in fast, otherwise they all may lose the house.

The problems are:

1. I once heard some advice that went: Avoid moving in with friends if possible. I agree with this.

2. The house is ****, in very bad condition. If I go elsewhere, I have my own ensuite rooms

3. The guys are in a band, stoners, highly opinionated about music, music is all they talk about, and they practice continually in the house - I am determined to study at my best, which means a lot of quiet time alone.

What do you guys think? As I write this, my mind is rapidy getting made up; the question now is how to repectfully decline- ie what reasons to give without being insulting or sounding like a dick.

You've already decided, and I would agree. Don't do it.

When you say "flatmates", you mean people who live in only 2 dimensions, yes? Flat people. They only have 2 dimensions. Hmmm?

just tell them that you have some other prospects you are looking into and now isnt the best time to move in with them.
