what the f*ck did THEY do to deserve pain? i'm know, us humans are just evil sinnerz and ****, but what about animals? if there's no heaven or hell for animals because of their innocence, why do they have to feel pain? and don't tell me they NEED to in order to know when something is causing them harm, unless you don't think your god is smart enough to make animals react to harmful situations w/o pain sensors.

Well, if I may expand this further. Why do babies feel pain? The baby has committed no sin yet. Besides, although we humans are sinners, even the Bible says that there is some persecution that humans face that they do not deserve. Why do people face undeserved persecution? Why do the wicked prosper and the humble suffer? Why are some people born rich? Why are some people born into a world of famine? Why is that as we have this conversation over the internet in our comfortable rooms, as we speak there is a child somewhere breathing their final breaths, their body utterly famished and exhausted of all resources?

The conclusion: God will bring all things into account. As David (or maybe Isaiah, I'm not crystal clear on the verse) said, one day the lion will be grazing along side the lamb, because God loves all creation.

according to your religion, babies will become sinners, hence the pain. unless god strikes them down first so he can drink the sweet milk of their tears. and the whole david/lion/lamb is not literal. you do not become a lion or lamb. to the OP, animals feel pain, otherwise, they wouldn't taste as good.

Pain is a double edged sword. It hurts, but it helps avoid doing/interacting with things that cause that pain and could be harmful to you. If you couldn't feel pain, you could severely burn yourself when grabbing something hot and you wouldn't know. That wouldn't be too good for you.

Pain isn't always malevolent, sometimes it's just to maintain the cycle of life.

For example, think about the pain of hunger, or bodily need for rest. If animals didn't feel pain, they wouldn't know when to eat, sleep...or run away from danger.
