First can crush!!

Hey Guys, I crushed my first unopened soda can last night. It took about 3 or 4 hard squeezes but it finally popped. It was a awesome feeling. Just thought I'd share it with everyone here.

My first can crush was awsome, however, 14 stiches later I learned to use gloves next time. It sliced from my lower palm to my pinky. Congratulations!!!

I honestly don't know what the big deal is..... everyone now of a sudden can do it... for heavens sake, even Titania can do it....

Steroids are getting WAY OUT OF CONTROL!

First of all I'm not on steriods. I've only got one kidney and only eat 80 grams of protein a day. Don't get mad just because you can't do it. I bet your sister Marie can though.

Titania is no average woman. She can lift with the best men and probably kick their butt.

Big difference between doing that with one hand and two. Titania supposedly did it with one hand.
Think of the difference of closing a gripped with two hands, and with one.

To the original poster, good job. I think I recall doing this before but I can't quite remember. I'll have to try again. Gloves are a necessity though, those cans can be like razors.

Yeah, it's true. 80 grams a day. I was eating over 300 before I had my kidney removed. Then the doctor put me on a low protein diet. It really hasn't slowed me down much. I'm lifting almost as heavy as I was before the surgery. It still sucks losing a kidney though.

It's true that Titania has crushed an unopen can, BUT she DID NOT crush it to the point where the TOP/LID pops off. John Brookfield himself said that's an impossible strength feat. Now, I don't know if he was joking or if he was for real, all I know is that's what he said.

It took a hell of a lot of determination to get the can to burst anywhere with one hand let alone make the top burst. I would imagine it would be close to impossible for anyone to pop the top with one hand!

congrats on the can crush. I've personally never tried it. Did you you do anything specificall in terms of working up to the can? or did you simply keep trying to crush the can?

It was acctually my first time trying. There was just a can of diet Sunkist setting there nobody was going to drink , so I thought hmmm. I wonder if I could crush that. So I took it out side and just tried it. Like I said it took about four hard tries before it popped. I didn't train for it or anything. Just my everyday workouts. I do go pretty heavy on all my lifts though.

Is there a special way to hold the can to make it pop the top off? Whenever I do it sometimes the top may blow top off but usually the can just explodes, very inconsistant. I want to be able to project the spray.

Same thing happened to me. On the video we filmed of my last one handed crush, you can see the Pepsi spraying on the lens of the camera. It's just as well I have a UV filter protecting it otherwise the lens would've been ruined!!
I got soaked too though but I was expecting that.
