How achievable is 1700 lbs sum in main three?

So I checked recently strength standards and good level for 210 lbs bw is 1700 sum. Looks sky high to me so I am wondering how many people actually achive that and how long it takes them . How many people do that raw? (10 000s, 100 000s, millions?)

btw this is the chart I am looking at (weights are in Kg):

In the USAPL Men's Open the National Qualifying total for 220 class is 1660.

Yes, 1700 is a fairly high (but by no means exceptional) standard.

Is there some reason you picked a chart developed for assessing international class Masters of Sports from the Russian Powerlifting Federation for your determination of what is a "good level"?

Well just because I knew the google keywords for it to search But found another chart now too, thanks to 2nd poster:

http://www.usapowerlifting.com/lifterscorner/qts.shtml

Seems well in line with Master of Sports standard as well. As of why - it is commonly considered master of sports level as a "good' baseline level for whatever sport you are practicing .

No, those are standards for powerlifters. I guarantee you there are plenty of sports (like basically all of them) that don't have those kind of strength standards. I'd guess Tiger Woods, Nolan Ryan, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kobe Bryant, and Champ Bailey don't total 1700.

There are different standards for different sports , typically measured in what in the most natural for the sport statistics (for swiminng/running it is time, for martial arts it is wins/competition level) .So say if your primary fitness activity is lifting weights you would naturally try to measure yourself against standards in weightlifting , not how well you score in basketball.

I would rate 1700 closer to elite than "good". For 1,700 you'd need roughly a 400-bench, 525-squat and a 625-dead. Definietely advanced #s there. Probably those number would be achievable for most but there are probably plenty of guys out there who would never be able to hit them.

For the average lifter, those are lofty goals indeed.

If I had to guess, I'd say less than 1% of the population could do pull 1,700 with the big 3. Most people don't exercise so we'll just count them all out. Of those who lift; I'd say only about 1-2% will ever hit 1700. Even with all the liars here on bb.com you don't see that many people even claim to have lifts like that and, if you listen to most people, you'd think the users here tend to be more advanced than Joe Average who trains pretty poorly and has an average diet (meaning, the majority of lifters who tend to stall after about 6-12 months and make little more progress).

is it a realistic 3-4 year goal for an average joe , who can workout 3-4 times a week, eats properly and rest as much as job/study allows? e.g. not for gym rat with plenty of time, personal trainer and personalized program?

I see relatively many people here doing 500+ deads, 350+ benches and 400+ squats. Seems like not that far of a jump to 625, 400, 500. or is it?

It would take me years to reach that. Those are awesome stats.

No. It would be a good goal for a talented and dedicated powerlifter aspiring to compete at a high level.
