after reading through some diet plans of people trying to lose weight here...(rant)
A lot of people on this site are starving themselves and calling it a 'cut'. why are they setting themselves for inevitable failure?
i see a meal with 1/4 a cup of oats with water and a scoop of whey, then some brocolli with chicken. What kind of meals are these? not even a 6 year old girl would survive. where are the fats if you're decreasing starchy carbs so much? amd vice versa. calculating it up, most diet plans add up to 1200-1500 cals, and thats for the males.
it makes me cringe, cause you cant stick with such low cals, and you will eventually go on a binge sprea. not to mention the carbaphobes. carbs will not make you fat, an excess of calories will.
and with the whole no cheating approach, thats setting up for failure before you even begin. you will eat a piece of chocolate or a big mac sometime in the near future anyway. so why try to keep a dieting plan so strict which leads to insatiable binges? Most people here eat 5-6 meals a day, why not break up your inevitable 'cheat/binge DAY' with smaller cheat meals to keep your sanity?
i started at 18% bodyfat, no abs in sight around a year ago. all I did was clean up my diet and eat at maintenance and do weights and cardio. plus i cheated twice every week and never felt deprived. i improved my body composition slowly by slowly increasing mass and decreasing fat to 9%. the only challenge was preparing food in advance, not the dieting.

You're getting buff and they're just losing nutrients. If you're so concerned, I recommend pursuing a profession in the medical field. Tons of idiot patients with bad habits you have to correct before they become useless.
