My review of Nectar: Apple Ecstasy

I ordered my Nectar from 1 fast 400, which provided prompt delivery (received it on 3rd business day) and they even through in a free MRP packet, so I was happy.

At first smell, the powder is great. Smells like a jolly rancher. I sampled some straight powder, which tasted rather nice, except it did end up being a gooey mass in my mouth.

Next is the drink itself. The worst thing about Nectar is the foam. I cannot explain how much freakin foam was left when I mixed Nectar with water in my shaker. I was very upset after this and eventually has to just pour the Nectar into a glass, where I was able to easily seperate the foam from the drink. Overall, the taste was great, I would drink something like this in the summer all day long (MINUS THE FOAM!).

Overall, Nectar is a great isolate and I'd recommend it to anybody looking for a change. If anybody has any recommendations on getting rid of the foam, I am open to thoughts.

I let it sit for a minute or two to let the foam settle.

Yeah my only choice is to let it settle to let the foam go down. Says on the container you can mix easily with a spoon, which won't work unless you can have a seizure on command.

i mix mine the day before and refridgerate - no foam at all and goes down smooth.

All the whey isolates that I've used give me this problem so I 've learned to stir slowly or let it sit for a minute or two after mixing.

I've had the same problem with all whey isolates too...gotta let it sit. I have been using the Strawberry Kiwi for my PW shakes for awhile now. It really is the best tasting whey there is. I actually look forward to my PW shakes. Bump on Nectar

You say that like it's a big problem. If you let the shake sit for 2 minutes...no more foam.

Or start out drinking it with a straw if you need to drink it right away.

Your going overboard with the shaker. Thats whats causing the excess foam. I mix mine easily with a spoon. I dont even have to stir for 10 seconds and its completely dissolved. No foam at all.

It foams because it is Whey Isolate. And Nectar mixes PERFECTLY with a spoon and glass...No foam excpt Fuzzy Navel has a froth to it Which is great.

I just got my apple ectstasy last week. It's not bad.

Same sorta flavour quality as fuzzy navel. I think it's pretty good.

I tried stirring it and the foam did not form and it tasted amazing. Does anybody know if Nectar will be coming in larger sizes anytime soon?

Also, does anybody know anywhere online I can buy supps and get a discount for large orders? ($100+)

Most places only do discount if you are ordering large quantities of the same product. Other throw in a shirt, free shipping, etc if it's over a certain dollar amount. Haven't found one that gives discounts based on dollar amount of order.


For those who have tried Carribean Cooler nectar and thought it sucked, there's a trick to that one. Blend it with crushed ice. Tastes just like a pina colada.
