guys I just had one of the best experiences @ the gym this morning!!..(Reps for Read)
Ok..
So I walk in 2am, no one is in the front desk as usual, the lady sleeps in her car. So I take a few water bottles and health magazines for free of course lol.. If the supplements weren't locked up I would have taken all the muscle milk and BSn products..
I do my legs and shoulders, then I decide to go down to the sauna to read.. Now I've been going over like the things that hold me back in life and I've realized that one of the things that hold me back is how I think I look without my shirt off.
After losing 120lbs I always look at myself in the mirror and see myself fat and I honestly don't know why. Sometimes in the free-weights area I see myself from a distance and give myself a 2nd look because I can't believe its me.. Same with looking at pictures..
Anyways my shirt has not come off in public for 2 years, even with past gfs and so on during sex would never take it off. I just hope they would fall in for a lie or some ****.. Its the saggy skin from weight loss which I'm currently working on right now to fix.
Anyways I decided to go to the jacuzzi, so in spur of the moment I took off my shoes and socks and shirt and went in the hot tub, it felt so great, I looked like a kid in a candy store swimming around and what not and smiling.
I know to some its like, BIG DEAL but it felt so great to not give a **** about what people think. I mean no one was there but baby steps you know.. Tomorrow I'm going to the beach, I'm not going to take my shirt off but I will at least leave my house not being afraid so much of what people think. I need to stop looking at myself as a fat person, I'm built and in process of fixing the skin, there is nothing I can do to get rid of stretch marks and I have to understand people will not hate me or care about the way I look.
Anyways thats all, Reps for all I'm so excited its almost 5am and I haven't even slept.

I was bored and I figured instead of emotional eating, I should get my ass in the gym. so I read a motivational speech posted earlier tonight, in this thread and it got me going..

I don't have a gf anymore, but things are going to change. I'm tired of comparing myself to people all the time. I have a date next week with this one chick, so I'm looking forward to it..
What I Said was even with all the relationships I've had I've never takn my shirt off during *special* moments..
you know how hard that is when your girls asking you to shower with her I mean I don't know why I look at myself with extra skin and consider myself a fat pig, but I'm not going to do that anymore. I want to get rid of the skin, but I can't have that **** me over because for the last past months, I've had nothing but dreams and my whole life has revolved around the gym and skin. I really need a social life. I'm going to win it back.
EDIT: This is the girl I have a date with next week:

Well good for you. I lost a lot of weight too, not as much asyou, but I still see my old self in the mirror somtimes. Its kinda weird but that image will always be there.

yeah why is that? Is it mental? I know it sounds stupid to some people, but why do we, I , see myself fat in the mirror while if I look at myself through a picture or a mirror from a far distance I don't even recognize myself. It feels weird.
Ill rep some, but I need to recharge and ill come back and rep the rest.

Yeah I got a job the first week I was unemployed in LA Fitness, it was horrible. I mean they almost crushed my dream of helping others stay fit. My manager was an *******, he didn't care about anyone but to make money. As people walked through or came in he we shoulder nudge me and tell me how fat they looked.
Then he told me one day I can get a cell phone, car, and earings like he has. One cocky, little skinny prick. So I left the job..
I left a 30k job because of the stress and how people solved their problems by eating more and I was starting to gain weight, I sat down and thought about my age, what I have going for me and if I owe any bills.. I'm basiclly a free man, never been in debt, have perfect credit and therefore I decided my priority in life is health and education and I left the insurance field. Before that I was working mortgage I loved the job, but it was part-time. I don't regret anything I do in life, Everything is done for me to learn from mistakes and move on.
I'm used to making 25k to 30k jobs but I thought I'd give this a chance for 7.50 an hour, but it didn't work out. I'm not giving up though, I can find a job and I'll keep trying everyday until I get one. My cash flow is alright so far, a few more months but no excuse to not look now. Thanks for asking though

That's when I work out. I have a hard time keeping a proper sleep schedule, but even when I do, my gym is too packed during normal hours. I have much better workouts when I'm not fighting for space, waiting around for equipment, or worried about people watching me. (yes insecure)

Congratulations man. I think you'd be surprised how many people have a hard time taking their shirts off in public, you've lost 120lbs - you've earned the right to do it and should be proud of what you've accomplished.

Good for you, buddy. I went through the same thing. Vitamin E and vitamin E lotion need to be your best friend. Let that skin tighten up and you won't be able to keep your shirt on.
