lol, nah. i just said i have a job offer which pays more waiting for me once i give it the green light. it's up to him now to decide how valuable i am to his company. either way i win, so yeah. it's good to have leverage.
currently im a civil draftsman, the job im going to is for a mechanical draftsman... but i fit the bill for both. it's not a TOTAL job change if that's what youre asking. same area, just better pay.

did u request to keep your own stapler and to have a window cubicle.
u should have said it's my way or the machete way and then got an evil glint in your eye and made a frantic grab at the machete you cleverly stashed in your back pocket. then you should have tape recorded him saying he'd give you the raise and if not, he'd step down from his position and make you president. then destroy any witnesses, and watch your cashflow increase. works every time...ive done it 4 already.

Wanna bet? Employers are scratching for staff in our state, if anything hittman has the leverage because it will be very hard to replace him. Honestly we can't get entry level admin staff at the moment.

big ad is right. i had 2 interviews this week (replied to on pretty much the same day i sent my resume through), employers are desperate for skilled staff.
he will have so much trouble finding someone my age (and my wage), that will start the job with equal experience.
he will either find an older or more experienced draftsman who will want twice what i'm on, or will have to hire a trainee and do what he did with me all over again. it's probably in his best interest to keep me. i'm an asset.

1. What type of job is that ? Sounds like BS nesscary and you're only twenty? Does it pay the bills for living on your own?
2. Any man with an ego would fire you. Even if it does suck to lose you and take time/ money to train someone else, no man would riitb by an employee.
