'Roids for Lazy Posers...
****Before anyone flames me, PLEASE read this =)****
Hey, this is about something thats been bothering me and I had to post this. I hoep I didn't put this in the wrong section, but I wanted these type of people to read this and I thought they might go here first...
I'm 31 I have been training again now for 2 months (after a bad low back injury) after a 2 year break in any heavy weight training.
Anyway, I know I am no where near my genetic potential, I have 18.5 guns almost naturally and a 52" chest at a bodyweight of about 265.
What I'm getting at is I am working towards reaching my potential before I even think about trying to surpass it with juice. Not that there is anything wrong with it, if you educate yourself and do it right, but thats just it, there are way too many people who are just plain lazy and don't want to put in the time to build the foundation. In case you haven't figured it out, I mean a particular person here, you may know the type...they have 20 different kind of "Fat Burner" pills on the bathroom shelf, when chitosan came out he rushed right to the doctor to try to get it, this person walks around like they have a pair of 747 wings under their arms, yet they have no idea how to actually train lats anyway. This same person talks about his latest workout and how he is getting huge, or how he was so huge "that one time".
This is also the same person that when you invite them over to workout with you they are sore for a week...Well this guy took some deca a few months back and made absoulutely NO GAINS. I always thought deca was good to stack with something else, but this guy took it by itself and worked out 1 hour a day 5 or 6 days a week, he doesn't know the first thing about intensity, stopping in the middle of a set and tell a joke or 2 then pick up on the last rep he left off on. 2 or 3 sets per bodypart, capable of 11 or 12 pushups, all the while living off taco bell and mickey d's for his protein intake forget the whey, he has some cans of ensure he bought from the goodwill store or where ever he got it from......sheesh, he was 5 weeks into his cycle and looked like he had never touched a barbell in his life...well you get the idea, this is the same person who has had some gyno since puberty. Come to think of it the gyno is about all he has done natrually...
What gets me is this guy can do a cycle and make no gains and I get 2 momths back into and he accuses me of juicing (talk about no credit where credits due), I try to show him what kind of size a serious person can put on if they know what they're doing, I try to explain to this guy and loan him books and what not on training and nutrition, but he's not listening to anyone he's gonna juice it instead..."All he needs now is a needle". what a joke.
I see no problem with enhancing genetics or whatever ya call it, but I think that like a building you need a strong foundation first, then you can build on that...
Please post any responses good, bad or otherwise, I'm gonna email him this thread and hope he gets the idea, I don't know if we're gonna still be friends afterwards, but maybe he might get the idea....

What, is he doing a 1 day cycle?
If not, he'll be hurting trying to stick himself after the 1st week

I agree with alot of your statements. This is the reason why I train alone.

I do bent rows and pulls ups, I used to like my lat pulldown, but I feel it more with the rows, I change up between barbell rows and dumbell rows from time to time, and try to vary my pullups wide grip and not so wide grip, and I started ro do deads for my low back, I feel those in my traps, legs, arms, everywhere, I love deadlifting.

That was exactly what he said "I can get the sh!t, all I need now is a needle"
I'm not trying to trash talk anyone who takes anything, I just think that it's to enhance bodybuilding, not to replace it or to be used as a substitute for the food and the weights...
I always thought it was the hard work and eating that made the steroids show results, I used to know some huuuge guys who were obviuosly on something, but they were maniacs when it came to workouts and were huge and ate like horses...
SHOT, I'm not trying to put anyone down, just the opposite, I'm saying it takes a huge amount of work if you take the steroid route...please don't try to read between the lines here...

Oh and the title of the thread was to catch peoples attention not to insinuate that people who take steroids are lazy, I was just referring to the poser crowd who wants to avoid the work...I hope I cleared that up

Good post, I agree with a lot of what you've said. The title did catch my eye lol, I had the banning stick ready...
What pisses me off even more than people who are like your friend are the mother****ers who sell the juice to these guys. I have a friend who is 6'1" maybe 155lbs or so, and some ******* I know over the summer was trying to sell this kid juice. I wanted to curb the dickhead, took me several hours to convince my buddy the dealer was full of ****

whewand only my 8th post too...this is like the 4x4 forum all over lol
how long would you say it would take a person who eats big and trains hard who reach their limits anyway?
or at least the point where starting a cycle would be the most productive?
personal experience?
