I asked--did she say yes or no? (her reply included)
I asked if she was up for Chinese food "so we can learn about Chinese culture"--somewhere along those lines (corny, funny, ridiculous). And she replied here. She's a member of a school club, so she asked if we are going to make this a kind of club thingy (with another co-founder of the club coming) maybe she isn't 100% sure if she wants to go out alone. I originally thought it was a kind of "yes" by asking my schedule, but then asked not to leave that other person out, so that's kind of a "no."

PS haha thanks for the offer. These days are pretty hectic but of course I would very much enjoy discovering the 'Chinese within' - JUST no chicken feet, dog, cat, rabbit, horse, intestine, tongue, heart, liver, galbladder, stomach, eyeball, testicles, uterus, kidney, feet.... lol you know, that kinda stuff... I'm not THAT Chinese so I can't...stomach it (I'm sorry!! I'm a disgrace to my heritage!) - were you thinking dim sum? And also, I'm that type of Christian who doesn't eat pork, or seafood without 'fins or scales'. Ohhh man you probably think I'm such a weirdo now lol. It's not because I'm a snob!! I just don't eat that stuff for religious reasons. (but I can eat other things!) So what's your schedule like? and are we making this some sort of APAA celebration lol (Grand Opening Celebration!) - and let's not leave [another person who's a co-founder of our club] out! anyways I guess I'll be talking to you tomorrow - sorry for my blabbering lol bye!

She said yes but as a group date. It was a bit obvious there at the end when she said don't leave the other person out that she wants other people there.

yeah maybe she just thinks its a grand opening celebration or shes just nervous about going out alone so she wants some company (girls do that all the time hence so many double dates).

If she wasn't interested, then she would have just wrote some sort of 1-2 line excuse as to why she couldn't.
Put way too much effort into it for a no.
But it doesnt sound like a date-date...

please learn how to be more direct. Your approach lacks confidence as you give an excuse to asking to spend time with her..it provides you with something to fall back on but provide girls with creative answers that can be misinterpreted one way or another so they don't have to flat out reject you.
She sounds a bit corky though..it could be yes or a no..be more direct when you follow up. answer with "Honestly, I like you and would just like to go out to dinner with you" instead of some bs about learning about culture

Heh. Personally, I wouldn't invest in most of these upbeat christian asian girls. They're fun to have around as friends, but forget holding an intimate relationship with them. A lot of conversation topics are off limits, and you'll have to make an effort to callibrate to their mentality due to their conservative upbringing.
Like euphoria said, being direct is good. It saves a boatload of time in instances like this. Someone's gotta be the man and lead the way. "Let's catch dinner this week" doesn't allow leeway for annoying teasing and sidestepping, for example.
She's interested, no doubt, but being interested and being able to satisfy your needs is a different matter. I dunno about you, but I like my chicks candid and communcative, not ambiguous. You'll have to put in a lot of work and patience to successfully work with ones like this.

your asking a chinese girl out ?
Chinese people love open minded people
So you have to do some research--
we have two diff dialects of speaking: cantonese and mandarin. I speak cantonese--
gwy lo- Your cute
lai homa --? howdy dootie
joi ginn--later
popo grandma-
we have dim sum: some kinda pastery bun things
chasew bow--? ask her
dim sum
get some chicken bone soup aka white people call it congie but we call it "JOOk"
when chinese date--were not allowed to hold hands or kiss in public. When we greet each other its layhoma and then a small bow--you bow with your hands close to your body and hold it for 7 secs---mostly its just the upper back bending a tiny bit--
First ask her to teach you some words? gwy lo---go why do all my chinese friends call me gwy lo ? Is that like a nickname in chinese ? She might laugh--
If your chinese then i would do the same see if shes open minded. If she lets you in then your ok
see you later gwy lo and dont forget to order some JOOK
