Exclamation Newbie here.. Please help with calorie intake!!

Hi everyone, I'm Dahan and I'm new to this site. I only recently started to actually care about my eating (before I ate like crap) and I was wondering if anybody knows how to measure how many calories I need to eat in a day in order to lose weight.

I do some kind of cardio, such as a kickboxing workout called Turbo Jam, about 5-6 times a week. I am 18 years old, male, 5'9", and about 233 pounds. I lost about 20 pounds since last August because of Turbo Jam but I know that I could've lost more if I actually ate clean.

So.. for my weight and height, what's the caloric range I should be in right now?
Also, should i stick to a 40-30-30 eating plan? Or should i do a different one?

Please help me! i really want to basically change my life. I don't want to be that 'fat guy' now.

Thanks alot!

i know there's some sort of online calorie calculator but i dont have the link, im sure someone else does. anyway, most people say you should have like a 1-1.5 g of protein intake for your bodyweight, and the carbs you'll havta experiment w/ yourself to see what works. make sure you get in enough healthy fats. you say you want to lose weight so id do the cardio but you should also lift to get some muscle which will help speed up your metabolism/burn more cals. id recommend going at the most 500 cals below your maintenance number, but dont automatically do that (gradually decrease the calories). eat throughout the day to keep blood sugar levels stable, i think the 40/30/30 plan is fine.

Thanks for the links and the info. everyone. However, the first link and the second link gave me a pretty big difference as to how many calories to consume in order to lose weight.. I'm so confused now =X

The first link gave me:
Maintenance:3027 Calories/day
Fat Loss: 2421 Calories/day
Extreme Fat Loss: 1864 Calories/day

Second Link:
3134 calories consumed to lose weight..

I probably did something wrong, but IDK what. arghhhhh lol
