Day 13 of Keto...feeling down
So its my 13th successful day of eating a Keto diet. And I have been in ketosis for 10 days now. yesterday night I felt very tired and could sleep only for about 3-4 hrs...and was very restless in bed I had very dry mouth all night and had to get up to drink a lot of water
It was a pretty normal day yesterday but maybe I didnt eat enough? Heres what my day was:
8:00 am - 2 eggs with cheese and mushroom
11 am: Green Tea
1 pm: Salad with Ranch dressing, chicken leg, olive oil
4 pm: Yerbamate tea
5 pm: 2/3 cup cottage cheese, 1 protein bar
8 pm: Workout - Shoulders and Back
9 pm: Dex+Whey post workout
9:30 pm: Salad with Ranch dressing, chicken leg, olive oil, 1 tbsp mayo
Cals are roughly around 2000
I feel a bit tired today so am planning to up my protein a bit (Had an extra glass of whey in the morning).
Anyone else experience such things?

i felt the exact way last week. i was in ketosis for 15 straight days and i felt like death. just totally beat, emotionally and physically. i was waiting for friday to do my carb-up and boy did that feel good. so, now im back to weekly carb-ups. i would really suggest you doing a carb-up, or at the least a huge re-feed meal. im saying this because i know exactly how you feel.

Yeah, it looks like the carb up is due. I wanted to complete two more workouts before my carb up so I guess I'll wait for 2-3 days. That will also mean its the weekend and I'll get time to cook up some good stuff!!
The next 2-3 days are gonna e tough..but..oh well.

Also, it doesnt "look" like I have lost too much weight in these 13 days. I lost probably around 4.5 lbs, maybe its mostly water.

Yes, it's the carbup. That's how you know. Don't wait, do it now, those workouts will be pointless.

Shouldnt I do one last depletion workout at least before the carbup? or that does not matter?

yah, i would just do a depletion workout and carbup. no sense in killing yourself.
also maybe experiment that your body can handle some more carb efficiently. i know last time i did the ckd, after a few weeks my body could handle 40-50 carbs a day and i was still in ketosis and dropping weight.
i wouldnt be too discouraged about only losing 4.5 pounds thus far. you seem like you fairly lean to begin with (from your back picture, but hard to really tell). have a good carb-up and get back on the wagon and see how it goes. make sure you are not eating too many cals.

Sounds like you're already depleted, brother. That's always my cue to carbup... I do one last workout with 2 pieces of fruit 1-.5 hours before and make that 100g liquid carb protein shake and enjoy my carbup!
So just do one more workout, whatever was in your schedule. Unless you really want to deplete everything, then go for it.

Thank you so much guys for all the help and making me realize the time for the carb up.
I completed my depletion workout and had my post workout shake (48g whey and 30g dex). Now for my meal, I am planning 1 cup brown rice and chicken and some veggies. I hope this is a good choice. This is roughly around 50 g carbs. And then CC before bed.
Tomorrow I will aim for around 160g carbs.
Hope this is good?

You'll need quite a bit more than 160g carbs.
http://www.c-k-d.com check out the calculator on there. Good luck.

Wow, great calc. Thx. 'So in the first 24 hrs' means I will have to eat a total of those carbs in all my meals starting from tonight till tomorrow night, right?
Also I need to take the day off workout tomorrow, right?

Yeah, I'm not sure what that really means. Mine says around 800 per day or something, so I just try to get as much as I can (I only do it for about 12 hours). And yeah, take the day off.

You don't have to do the second 24 hours thing if you only want your carb up to last 24.
Lol "Hi, work? This is JK2006 calling. Ya, I'm not going to be able to make it in to work this morning. I'm carbing up" he he he
