Do you hate the taste and/or texture of cottage cheese?
I think I may have the solution. I do not know if this was mentioned before, but I just mixed pineapple cottage cheese with chocolate pudding. WOW, it's pretty damn good.
Now you can buy the cheaper, less tasteful brands of cottage cheese and make a very nice dessert.
I know it sounds disgusting, but give it a try

ok, i will let you in on the greatest thing in the world.
1cup CC
1/2 FF choc pudding mix
2 tbsp PB (1 tbsp crunch, 1 tbsp smooth - if you want to get really technical, i use normal crunchy cos it is thicker and organic smooth cos it is more fluid - makes for better stirring but i like the crunchy bits)
3 tsp SF Strawberry Jelly (jam for aussies)
Stir this all up well - for best results put in fridge for a while or freezer for 10min - this lets it thicken up nicely (cos the pudding sets)
Dice an apple and stir into the mix.
Now stir in 1/2 a mix of Strawberry SF Jello (Jelly for aussies) - dont go too nuts as u dont want to break it up too much
Now the kicker, 1/2 a cup of bran ( i use the processed stuff that is kinda little cyclinders) - this adds awesome crunch to an otherwise gooey mixture.
tastes so freaking good and cos it is bulked out heaps with the jello/jelly and bran and apple it is a giant bowl, which i like
And i cant believe how intricate and complicated i make this sound, but its good!

Breakstone's Cottage Cheese
I really like this stuff, it is prepackaged with a 5.5oz (1/2 cup?) of CC on one side and some jelly (in all different flavors) on the other half. I dont like the taste of straight CC but the texture is fine. Mix it with fruit and it should taste fine, even a little bit of fruit makes a big difference. I usually have two of these before bed and they make for great snacks.

Try different brands there are least 5 or six different brands that I have tried and they all seem to have a different texture to them, some less appealing than others. Personally this makes a big difference. I have found I actually prefer the generic (Kroger brand) compared to the more expensive name brand Prarie Farms which is a large curd and has a soupy consistency.

Hey guys, I've been a long time lurker, and this is my first post.
I don't particular like the taste or texture of cottage cheese, but I've gotten some tips from these boards. For a while I've been mixing it with natural peanut butter and it makes it better, but it's still kinda dry. Lately, I've been mixing plain yogurt with Friendship brand %1 milkfat pineapple cottage cheese, and I love it. The yogurt masks the taste of the cheese, and you get the best of both worlds.
Although it does raise the amount of carbs by a good amount, it's not a big deal for me while bulking.

Hey , every time I get a thing of Cottage Cheese the consistency is not same, some are soupier, some are drier, the ones I HATE are the ones that fizzle in my mouth like its rotten or something but its not sour just fizzles, another thing its from the same brand, WTF is with the fizzling?

ughhhh cottage cheese. I hate the taste and the texture, but since i am usually having it late night i don't like to add a whole lot too it. Currently i have just been chopping up a bannanna in it, but i have also tried squeezing a couple of oranges in there (that was just weird)
I find that sweet stuff (i usually just stick to fruits) does good.

I dont think it was the texture or taste that turned me away from Cottage Cheese... I think its seeing it at the gym and in the summer when people are wearing less then they should to cover their CC up... lol Dont mean to offend anyone if you fall into that category, but seriously thats the reason i didnt like the stuff.
Ive gotten over it though, bit of tabasco and we're good.

Try Large-Curd CC . . .
Small-curd/low fat CC is soooo boring, can't stand the sloppy texture, lack of flavor.
"Regular" 4% milk fat, large-curd CC, that's the best, try it, u'll like it. Breakstone is my favorite brand, has a nice tangy flavor & firm texture.
