All I did recently is put on some H-pipes and new mufflers on it to make it scream. It does high 12's down the track.

It was mostly bikes racing out there. Couple of civics with nitros and one I think 89 mustang G.T. There also was a lighting but it wasn't racing. That would be one truck I would love to have. Have you heard about the new saleen mustangs? They have 1,100 H.P. **** that's sick.

hehe, bump. Those things are at most like 240 hp stock, since that's what the 94's are. They weigh about 3500 lbs, something like that? They'd run...hmm...about a mid 14 stock. Mufflers and H-pipe = about a high 13 at the very very best. I wanna know what kinda ****in 1100 hp Saleen he's talking about. It's funny how the rest of the Automotive enthusiasts know absolutely nothing about this new phenomenon, and even less about how he got his almost stock 1993 Cobra to run 12's

I bought the car off a guy about 3 years and he told me a bunch of **** he did to it. I personally put the h-pipe and mufflers on myself. And for the saleen just look it up in 5.0 magazine.com. I have the issue at my house. I'll find it and post back up soon.

My bad. I was wrong about the Saleen Mustang. I read it wrong. What I read was "We chase the Tail of the Dragon in 1,110 hp of '03 Saleens." Actually he was talking about three different types of Saleens. The two superchaged '03 Sallens are the S281-SC and the S281-E. They also brought along the '02 model SC for comparison. The 281-SC has 390 hp at $46,807 and the 281-C has 450 hp at $64,502. Pretty high priced mustangs but I bet you they are well worth it.

I've driven my friend's Saleen and it outhandles just about any muscle car I've driven. He didn't have the supercharged one, though. In my opinion, they are still overpriced cars. I'd much rather have a Z06. The LS6 is built for reliability, all the while producing some respectable horsepower. Sorry about the Cobra rant, I thought you were implying that those were the only mods on the car. The Cobras were overpriced in my opinion until 2003. Sure, they are more refined than the ordinary muscle car, but they weren't quite worth the price they were charging for them back then. Most think that when they buy a Cobra they are buying an amazingly fast car for some reason. I've surprised the hell out of a good many mid 90's Cobra drivers with my '94 Z28  . I've driven a new Cobra as well and I gotta say that they are very nice and of course, pull like a mother****er. If I come across some more money here soon I could maybe finance a used one

Why oh why would anyone modify an ultra-rare '93 Cobra is beyond me. H-Pipe and catback, fine, but I wouldn't ever touch the mechanicals on that thing. Detracts from its value. Cheaper to just pick up a 1990 LX 5.0 and mod the hell out of it and keep the Cobra stock.
I miss my fox body stang. It was a beast.

You guys in your Cobras can't touch my turbo Eclipse. J/K, the new Cobras are bad-ass, the older Cobras weren't all that fast though (although I like them). LS1s were the kings until the new Cobra.

no saleen is making 1100hp..not even an S7. the only production car that comes close is the buggati veryon 16.4 at 1001hp. that's a 16cyl quad turbo.
