eye contact with random girls

lets say im looking and catch a girl making eye contact with me on the bus or something. it gets a bit awkward if its long and im not the type to approach random girls and say "HeY!!" what am i suppose to do?

@the orginal question, dont think much of it at first, look back at her a second time maybe a intue later, give her a little smile, if shes smiles back your pretty much in. but then its up to you if you wanna approch her or not.

Well if she keeps glancing at you and you know she's into you just walk up to her and say something cheesy but funny to break the ice. For instance, "Either the scenery outside or really pretty or you're staring at me." She will either laugh or think you're a douche, if she does the first be like "that's ok because I was staring back too." Yes that sounds really gay and you're thinking omg that wouldn't work but if you say it funny and have some charisma it will. The hardest part is just breaking the ice.
