finasteride on the face

I don't really know where this thread belongs so I'll post it where I think the smartest people of the board are.


OK there's a guy who has been using finasteride to control his acne for a week and he have amazing results, He bought some proscar 5 mg tabs and removed the blue coating from them, then he crushed them. When he take a shower he take 1mg of finasteride and put it with the cleanser (has some kind of alocohol stuff in it) and clean his face with it, then he wash his face with water, sure a big part of the finasteride goes down the drain but there sure is some left on the skin. and the thing is that his face has really cleared up without him having to take finasteride orally (it gave him gyno),


my questions are :


is finasteride a lipophilic substance (they say pregnant women shouldn't touch the tablets) so it seems that it has affinity with skin?

Even if he washs his face will there still be at least some finasteride on the skin that will act on the DHT receptors and keep them from making him breakout?

And last can it be dangerous in the long run?


He has acne on his back too, but he don't do this on his back but the face where he do this is CLEAR now.
