For you members that actually DO lift - need your help
I am rewriting Body Stats and Lifting Stats on BodySpace -- combining them into one calendar based entry.
If you are logged in, go here
http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/sk...M=2&D=7&Y=2007
Note: You will have to change "skippy" to whatever your actually "slug" is.
This page is very much beta so don't bother submitting the form. If you do, I don't know what will happen but it won't produce good results.
You can enter values, in particular in the Lifting Stats section, to see how that works, just don't click on the "Save Stats" button.
Here's the deal: I want to know from you, the members that use this, what you think. Is it intuitive? Do you like being able to enter all Body and Lifting Stats in one web form? Do you understand the one-rep-max? (I'll add some descriptions there).
How can this be improved?
Remember, this page is beta and there are no direct links to it. Not all links on the page work.
I am interested in honest feedback.
Cliffnotes: Go to the above URL with your slug instead of skippy, give me feedback, don't submit the page.

I really dont know what your talking about/what you want us to do. I'm somewhat confused let me read it again
Edit: still lost/ maybe my brain is fried... but it looks like the normal old bodyspace to me. Which I actually need to fill mine out. Dont understand what you mean by slug and I dont see a "form"

I really like how it shows a graph of where you improved and what you declined in.
Some things that need to be changed are: barbell rows, and bicep curl maxes (as an alternative add max power clean).
Maybe try adding a body morph for the progress pictures, as in the pic where ronnie coleman morphed into jay cutler, like that with the progress pictures. Like before and after morphed.

lol, I knew I couldnt be the only 1. I just see the old bodyspace, and truthfully thats perfect. I dont see anything that needs to be changed/added. Maybe if I were able to imput stats and such on the direct bodyspace page, that would make it easier on my behalf.

I'm sorry, let me explain a different way.
1) Log in (you probably already are)
2) Go to BodySpace
3) Click on "Edit My Profile / Blog" in the right sidebar
4) Look for the section "Your Progress - New"
5) Click on "Manage Body Stats (Weight and other measurements)
6) This is where it gets weird:
Look at the address. It should say something like this:
Code:
http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/skippy/profilecp.php?module=bodystats&M=2&D=7&Y=2007
Except instead of "skippy" it will have your username. well, not really your username, it is your slug. But don't get hung up on that.
7) Do you see where it says "?module=bodystats" ? Change that to "?module=stats" (just delete the word "body") then hit enter to go that page.
Try that. I know it is confusing, just try it.

OK, i think it looks great, and yes it is good to have it all in the one form. Personally i wouldn't have the bicep curl stats there as it doesn't matter but each to their own... How will it calculate the one rep max?

Wait, wait, wait, hold the phone here...
You mean to tell me that you're posting this in the Misc expecting to find users who lift?
I'm more likely to find a 3rd nipple on my back somewhere.

I think there should be a little thing where u could put special notes about the day such as "benched 225 5 times, was a lot easier than last week, that creatine might be helping". Little things such as that.

We have some formula for the one-rep-max. If you go to Lifting Stats from your control panel, I added the one-rep-max calculation a week ago.

Skippy, I really like this new feature. I remember back when I tried to first enter my stats I would want to put in my 5RM, 3RM etc if I didn't know my 1RM. This makes it a lot easier! Point is, I like it lol
edit: i think you should substitute power cleans in there, though. i don't max on bb curls or rows or anything like that.

updating all bodyparts at once is fantastic, it was annoying to do one by one before...
the calendar i dont see much use for, but i'm sure the people who use bodyspace more frequently then i do will find it of much use.
nice addition imo

Looks ok. And i want to comment on your diet skippy. Your calories are too low for your weight. You should be eating 3900 calories. Also bars are not meals. Replae it with a healthy meat with some sweet potatoes.

One of our developers is working on the "Workout Tracker" which will be very flexable. You can enter cardio, reps, whatever, in whatever format you want.
I keep busting him on it because I want to start using it. I can't give an ETA. Soon, a month, I hope.
The Body Stats and Lifting Stats was intended to be more of a "snapshot" than a tracking system.
I enter my weight every day, and once I start lifting again i will enter my lifting stats after each workout. But that is just me.

Good idea, sort of a cliff note version of a journal. Now, whether I'd utilise it is another thing though.

I like it.. and the 1 rep max thing makes sense to me.. but id rather there be a way to change it to how many reps i want instead of just 1 rep.. like 1-5 maybe since i count most of my stats for 5 reps
