Sapp / Nogueira

Anyone see that fight back in August?

I was watching some clips now and damn, Sapp was just picking Nogueria up and slamming him into the canvas like a great big club Fred Flintstone-style.

Nogeira finally made Sapp tap in the second around ... I reckon Sapp would have killed him in a real fight though. His head woulda gone splat on the concrete.

Bit of a tall order trying to grapple a monster like that.

sapp is a huge mothafuka, but nogiera is the real deal. even tho he lost his last fight. but he will get his belt back he is very well rounded. btw sapp is a huge superstar in japan, doing pro wrestling, tv commercials and kick boxing.

Yeah I think the belts his too.

Sapp is a monster. A 230lb grappler can shoot on him and try to bring him down & he just picks you back up into the air and pulverizes you. Nogiera won in the ring in a controlled bout but Sapp woulda killed him in a real fight.

besides the loss to noguiera doesnt he actually have a pretty good competitive record? I guess size does matter after all

Sapp is a beast, and we all know guys like Nog would get completely owned in a real fight against guys like Sapp or Tank. Put in enough gay rules and any jujitsu clown can win every fight.

I like Nog though, he is one of the exceptions. He can throw a punch, which is nice. I'm sick of watching the gracie type fighters, afraid to punch. Nog is cool though.

Pfft, I'm just sick of grappling. This is why I watch boxing.

Sapp was dumping him on his back too, not head or neck to really injure him. Yeah I can just imagine him snapping someone like a whip headfirst into a kerb ...

just in case you are not up to date with your mixed martial arts, the gracie type of fighters arent doing **** anymore. the game has evolved. you have to be well versed in every area of fighting. like nog for example he can punch, kick, but his bread and butter are still **** bjj. peace/
