electronica sounds being introduced in rap

lately, i've noticed synth sounds from trance/eurodance type stuff being used in american rap/hiphop. how do you feel about this? so far, it seems to play a fairly small part, but i think it will grow. on one hand, i like it, because i like the effects and would like to hear more of it in american music. on the other hand, i feel that they will overdo it and beat a dead horse (once one person does, it everyone else has to), as that's what rap/hiphop producers often do. comments?

Man those cheesy synth chords have been around for ages.

And they suck, just like eurodance.

This isn't exactly "new" they've been doin it for ages and moreso lately. I dont like it at all.

i'm not sure what truth you're talking about. "synth chords." what exactly is a synth chord, anyway? chords have been around for thousands of years, and so have many instruments, so i'm not sure what the point is of telling me that these things are old. guitars are older than synthesizers, and so are the chords they use. so i guess all music with guitars suck?
