Carrot Cake healthy?
well my mom just made some carrot cake w/ some oatmeal and it tastes really good...but im wondering if its healthy or not?

If it looks, tastes and smells like cake it is cake.
Just because it has carrots and oats, well it is still cake.
Just don't eat the whole thing.

From memory carrot cake usually calls for a lot of oil, a fair bit of brown sugar and the icing will be pretty high fat+sugar if it is made from regular cream cheese and icing sugar.
The good things are the carrots, oats and walnuts if included.

hate to say it... unless it's a "special" healthy recipe, it's probably terrible for you.
most carrot cake packs a ton of calories, especially if it has cream cheese frosting.
by the way... i absolutely love the stuff.

well um my mom just used flour, eggs, bananas, sugar, carrots, and oatmeal...
she didn't put any icing on it...also im on a bulking diet...

Should be kept as a cheat meal (anything with 'cake' in it that isn't a BBers recipe/health recipe). May be healthier than normal carrot cake but still high in sugar.
