Bad to have majority of protein from powder?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums here and had a question. I'm in college right now and between juggling class, homework, going to the gym(new years resolution), and having fun, I honestly can't make time to cook meals every 3 hours. I realize that the moto here is real food > whey powder but how much worse can it be for you? Any input is appreciated.

It's always (leaving aside post workout shake) a good idea to get as much protein as you can from real foods. We all come up with little ways to make it happen. Right now I am cooking up a big batch of chicken, like 10 breasts, or you can do it with beef. Defrost some veggies and some carbs if you want, and poof you have a meal. Takes like 3 minutes if you have the meat in the frig. Canned tuna works well too. Try things, cook some stuff ahead of time, etc. I think if you work at it, you will get better more real food.

Whats great about protien powder is that it has protien but no Cholesterol, and hardly any fat. So its a more efficent way of getting protien, but yeah I'd say its best to get your protien from food. However I probably take in 50-70 grams of protien a day from just powder..

Protein powders typically lack the necessary proteases for proper digestion which you would find in wholefood sources. I'm not going to go into this but there is a reason ALL real bodybuilders get most of their protein from wholefood sources.

eat like this guy, but slightly less protein unless you weigh around 290 like him. he seems to like 1.5g per lb.
