help w/ valentines day jewelry

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to buying jewelry for girls, but I want to get my GF of 5 months something for valentines day. I have no idea what to get, she usually wears pretty simple stuff (plain necklaces, small earrings- usually not the kind that dangles down, simple rings, etc.) I want to get her something nice but not too risky, I want to get her something I'm sure she'd like, so something that's not too far "out there". What's my safest bet? I don't know if I should get earrings, a pendant, a necklace? And I have no idea what designers/brands to look at. Price range is 100-200 dollars, but I wouldn't complain if it ended up costing me less. I'm getting roses and taking her out to dinner too, and she's not high maintanence at all.

We've been good for atleast 1-2 months. I talked to her and told her to shape up or ship out. she shaped up. Now I need some damn help buying jewelryz!!!!!!
