How much money would it take for you to quit your full-time job?
Say you're stressed out and can't take it anymore - how much money would you need before you told them bye bye?

In this economy? You might as well deal with the stress or at least have something else lined up. Calculate your monthly expenses and you should be able to estimate how long you can maintain while job searching.

It was about 15 grand in savings plus some other small investments.
Wanted to give the music and photography thing a go full-time.
I'm now looking for a job again lol It was paying the bills for a while but the gigs have dried up.

Seriously, if I came across 1 million, it would be enough to pay of the house and seriously think about quitting and doing something else. Something that paid a lot less but was easier on the body and the lifestyle.

Already quit my job, was only making 32k a year and it just wasn't worth dealing with all the crap. Now I'm working on getting my own business up and running with a friend, just gotta make about $2000 a month and I'll be fine.
Edit - Forgot to add, got about $16,000 in my savings account.

That's the key, it's not making ****piles of cash that's important, it's being able to live off a modest amount.

I am seriously starting to adapt this way of thinking.

Exactly. Most of my money from my job went to my savings account. I have a house, which is where probably 70% of the money I spend each month goes to. Other than that, it's food, gym, and living expenses. I don't really buy much of anything else.

Yeah, that's the hard part. In ND it's not nearly as bad as the southern states though.

1.5-2 million I'd think about it. 3-5 million I'd be out the door.
