You Know You're a Pro Wrestling Fan When Your MOM Knows the Wrestlers

disclaimer: my mom can't stand pro wrestling.

Last month, my mom and I are on the phone and I tell her I ran into an old buddy from high school. She asked how he is and I say, "Well, he's actually going to be Bam Bam Bigelow for Halloween!" My mom goes, "Oh that's hilarious! How is he going to get the flame tattoos on his head?"

Then just today, while I'm on vacation for Thanksgiving, my mom is flipping through the channels and lands on The Game Plan. She goes, "Kenneth! Look! It's The Rock!" My Grandma goes, "You know him?" and my mom goes, "Know him? He's The Rock! The most famous wrestler around! IF YOU SMELLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING!"

So THEN! Later tonight, my mom and I are discussing stuttering and I start laughing to myself an reenact the Dudley Boyz segment with The Rock. I say, "You know how the Rock would say, 'What is your name?' and then before the person could finish, he'd say--" My mom cuts me off and goes, "It doesn't matter what your name is!"

why do I get the feeling your one of those kids that wears those "Because Stone Cold Said So" shirts..... Jk

... maybe ...

actually, when I started high school, I decided I would make new friends by the shirts I wore, so on the first day, I wore my Metallica t-shirt and made three friends b/c of it. And on the second day, I wore my smoking skull 3:16 t-shirt and made even more friends!

and thanks for the comment regarding my book! it's been a real pain the ass to get that thing published!
