All athiests/religions...
People on this board, after reading the threads over a year or so
This is generally what each group seems to be.
Athiests: Very insecure, ignorant, choose to believe what they want to beleive.
Have no room for another persons belief, not even a fellow athiest
Think they are intelligent and special because they dont believe in God
Think they are intelligent because theyve been told about the flaws in religious texts so if they dont believe in God it means they are clever people.
Fail to recognize religion is not the only way to God. And the big bang must of come from something else.
Christians: Dont have anything bad to say as most of them are good people who id love to meet.
But i cannot believe that God would come as a human(Typical selfish human behaviour to think we are above all other creations)
Islam: A religion purely made to control and invade society, to obey its laws.
E.g,
Islam first spread by military force = more muslims
Multiple wives = more muslims
Abandon Islam = sever punishment/death in islamic counties. = more muslims
Muslim women cannot marry non muslim men........Muslim men can marry non muslim women = more muslims
Islam intollerent to all other religions/athiests = more muslims
Islam represents power(which alot of people like) = more muslims
Islam believes there are virgins waiting in heaven = many more muslims
Yet still fails to be the biggest religion on Earth by miles and is based on primitive humans.
Bahai: How can you believe all religions are correct.
They are different due to them being not compatible.
Fails to recognise that each religion teaches different ways of life, therefore they will not come together under a faith called bahai.
People: Fail to recognise we will never know(until we die POSSIBLY), so stop acting like you do.
Just because we have learnt to use tools and build the world around us, it does not mean we are anything special compared to any other of Gods creations.
Bring on the negs as all religious/athiests debates are pointless and always will be.

Thing is, the atheists know we're nothing special compared to the rest of "God's creations", that's why we're not claiming to be the only species with souls and specially created in his image, etc. I think you'll find that's the religious posters.

No, she said that they're not claiming to be the ONLY ones with souls, which means that they believe animals and such have souls.

Incorrect.
What she said was "that's why we (atheists in general I'm assuming) are not claiming to be the only species with souls."
This is generally true. Atheists don't claim that human beings are the only species with a soul. Most of us also do not believe in souls, but these two claims are not mutually exclusive. I don't think she was saying that atheists (in general) believe that all animals have souls. I believe that you misread.
In addition, atheism just means "lack of belief in theistic gods". You can believe in astrology, fairies, goblins, and souls and still be an atheist.
