Fuking Government Run Media All Of The Sudden Telling People To Get LESS Exams

If youre not convinced the media is not influenced/run by the government then you need to be slapped on the side of your head. For YEARS people were suggested to go for annual check ups/exams. All of the sudden after the government restates guidelines for check ups (rationing), the media is on board!

Its blantant rationing and the msm is going along with it! Citing "doctors" who suddenly changed their opinions on this who claim the recent government changing the guidelines had no influence on their opinion.

Im rarely this pissed about the media but this is ABSOLUTELY SICK.

Before you get too excited, our favorite conservative cable network's own doctor, Manny Alvarez, agrees with one such change concerning pap smears for women. And he's a gyno specialist! (I never knew that he was, all the time he's been on). They had another doc (guest) who disagreed, saying it should be related (time-wise) to the first time a female has sex, not an arbitrary age set by anyone. Her argument sounds more logical to laymen, but Alvarez obviously (to me) knew wtf he was talking about and did so with authority, basically owning the other doc.

My own doctor also told me 2yrs ago that I was healthy enough and didn't need to get an annual physical. Additionally, there are other basic tests that are not necessarily...necessary, the way they're currently done.

I'm against govt run health care, but will pick my battles with particular issues concerning it. I also realize that in the aforementioned cases that each individual case may dictate otherwise, and that none of us would want some "set" limitation on age etc...

Now, we should be happiest (as opponents of a public option) that they've also got restrictions on mammograms. These restrictions aren't bad in reality (from what I heard & believe), but it's like the dems just shot themselves in the foot by even having this very emotional issue for women come out like this. In other words, pretty much just fear factor, but effective all by itself in the public arena.

With regards to avoiding false positives I can see a case, but my general feeling is that you can never be too cautious with your health.

I was going to post a thread about this as well. I just find it very interesting how hard they've pushed for more testing and earlier testing for years, and now all of a sudden we're about to get government health care all kinds of news is coming out about how we shouldn't be testing so often or so early. Coincidence? I think not.
