Getting ready to rumble
January 22, 2007With only one stop for the Raw Superstars before the Royal Rumble blasts into San Antonio, Raw will continue to raise the bar in sports-entertainment action this week when the show emanates from the Cajundome in Lafayette, La.
HBK to kick off Raw
Fresh off his emotional victory over Rated-RKO last week, Shawn Michaels will kick off Raw tonight right at 9/8 CT. What does HBK have on his agenda tonight?
Still standing?
WWE Champion John Cena will defend his title against Umaga in a Last Man Standing Match at the Royal Rumble. The Last Man Standing Match has no rules except to beat your opponent so severely that he is unable to answer to a 10 count. Armando Estrada still claims that Cena’s win over the previously undefeated Umaga at New Year’s Revolution was a fluke, and chose a match that would allow no fluke victories. After the contract was signed cementing the match, Cena laid out both Umaga and Estrada. Will Estrada and Umaga try to get the upper hand on the final Raw leading into the Royal Rumble?
Raw vs. SmackDown challenge
Six days before The Hardys face MNM at Royal Rumble, Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy will face Joey Mercury in a special non-title Raw vs. SmackDown challenge match. Who will gain momentum for their team heading into this Sunday?

I was reading Lance Storms weekly Tv thoughts and he makes a great point about the Umaga/Cena last man standing match.
No one has ever knocked out Umaga for a 10 count!!! The point of the match is ot see if anyone is able to do this unlikely task. But last week on Raw Cena knocked him out and he was down for well over a 10 count, so whats the point of this match? We already know Umaga can be knocked out!
Also I think this is a perfect time to bring in a fresh face into DX.

yeah lance is right about that...pretty retarded booking by WWE......also what is the point of buying a PPV when somewhere down the line you are gonna get the same match on RAW for free...this booking style only leads to gimmick matches all over the big PPV's which imo aint great

cena was only in one segment last week as opposed to HBK's 4...DX have been the focus point latley and with them gone cena may be put all over raw again...i hope not as i think he is more effective when used sparringly.................i dont see HBK adding anyone to DX 2nite he will just talk about HHH and RRKO will come out and confront him....other raw prediction's..... matt hardy will make an apearance to help his bro who will get double teamed by MNM...super crazy vs masters in the masterlock challenge......another stupid crym tyme match/promo victoria v mickie again....and lots of rumble hype....oh and more lame trump/vince nonesense
