Are your parents proud of you studying at university?

Discuss. Mine are. Both me and my bro are in university. My mom said the day we both graduate will the be the most proudest moments of her life.

Yea, of course... who's parents wouldn't be?

Take that back, if you study and basically fail, then I'd assume they wouldn't be proud because you are doing so poorly. However, I'm doing well, so my parents are proud.

Mine always expected me to go to university as well - and the education system I was part of always made me think that EVERYONE went to university afterwards.

98% of my graduating high school class (public school! in America) went to a 4 year, the remaining 2% went to a community.

same, my dad wanted me to go to columbia or washinton university in st. louis. I got a 3.2 1st semester and he was disappointed

the real issue is what are you studying , how much does it cost to study that and is it even worth it ???????? ask your "proud" mom that

Hey dwarf man. Anybody can go to University? Im not sure about that you need decent grades to get in. Im studying comp engineering and 3D graphics.

yeah, there are universities that take people with 2.5-3.0 gpas and SATs under 1000

My parents are just proud of who I am....but I think it is because I am comparted to my siblings and they didn't set the bar too high.

How big was your school? More specifically, your graduating class, because I highly doubt that. Even the best schools in America don't have a 100% college rate. Not trying to brag with this, but my HS was on a list (an actual reputable list) of the top 100 public schools in the nation (only like 500 kids in whole high school, less than 100 in my graduating class) and we didn't have everyone go to college and never do.

2,000 kids for the entire school
98% went to a 4 year and i made up the statistic about 2% going to CC, its probably more like 1% going to CC and 1% doing something else.

I went to Langley High School

the thing is, we're really rich so the kids that had 2.5s and 800s could afford to go to some ****ty private school in the middle of Florida or Idaho.

Not so much that I'm going to university because that was expected. Mom's more proud of what I'm gonna be doing more than anything.
