What directors have made the most good movies?
This seems like a good follow up to the actor thread. It probably won't get as much attention but I will pick 3.
Stanley Kubrick:
The Shining
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Full Metal Jacket (although i will admit Platoon outshined it)
2001: A Space Odyssey
A Clockwork Orange
Barry Lyndon
Spartacus
still waiting to see: Paths of Glory, Lolita, The Killing
Martin Scorsese:
Taxi Driver
GoodFellas
Raging Bull
Casino
Gangs of New York ( what a shafting)
waiting to see: The Last Temptation of Christ, Who's that knocking at my door, Mean Streets, Alice doesn't live here anymore
Steven Speilberg:
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Saving Private Ryan
Minority Report
Catch me if you can
Jurassic Park
The Color Purple
Jaws
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
waiting to see: Schnidler's List, Empire of the Sun,

Luc Besson
Deserves the plaudits for making Leon (aka The Professional) alone.
He is an amazing director, and writes a lot of witty and well baalnced scripts too. Under-rated in the US.

Agree with Kubrick, Hitchcock, the great living director Martin Scorsese, Eastwood, Coppola, Nolan, De Palma, Tarantino, sometimes Guy Ritchie, Coen Bros., P. T. Anderson, Mann, Polanski, Spielberg.
And of course:
Nicholas Ray
Billy Wilder
Adrian Lyne
Wong Kar Wai
Sidney Lumet
Woody Allen
Sergio Leone
David Fincher
Michel Gondry
Mike Nichols
Frank Darabont
Richard Linklater
Henri-Georges Clouzot
Howard Hawks
David Wain
Charlie Chaplin
Yeeeeepp that's about half the film industry of the past 100 years... but still the best of the bestest.
