Just got the red hot chili peppers cd stadium arcadium.

Its two cd's Jupiter and Mars. IMO Mars is way better.

Jupiter is just too funky/jazz sounding. Even though Snow is on Jupiter which is my favorite lol.

Have you listened to ANY of their older albums if you think this one's too funky?

Stadium Arcadium isn't a bad album, most bands couldn't put together 28 songs that are, for the most part, as good as the ones on SA. I really liked it for the first couple months it was out, not my first choice when I want to listen to RHCP anymore though. It's nowhere near the level of some older cd's...a la Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

no i havent listened to any other albums this is the first cd i bought of theirs. ive just heard some of the older singles

Ah thats cool, if you don't like the funk in SA you probably wouldn't like much of their early stuff. You should give Californication or By The Way a listen though, you'd probably like those.

Edit: to keep somewhat on topic, my favorite songs from this album are Snow and Wet Sand.

it came out may 9th (i remember buying it the day it came out.)
