Hyaku is on a distinguished road. (+10)
I eat hight protein food and drink protein shakes, but..

Hi!
I weight 165lbs and I'm 5.9ft tall. For last month and a half I'm drinking two shakes of Myoplex every day. On a pack it says: 43g Quality Protein Including Whey. I try to buy food, that has much protein. I don't know if it makes any differences if it's frozen, but some frozen foods have even 32g of protein!

But since I started, I have gained only 2lbs! I guess I would have gained more, if I would have trained. But because if my busy work shudle, I don't have any much free time left and in weekends, I usaly just sleep all day.

I really would love to gain ~30lbs, but there's not much progress, since I started. What should I do, to gain weight more effectly and faster? Thank you!

without training, the only thing you will gain is fat.
you really need to regularly workout. only then supps make sense and will aid in gaining leand mass.

As P said you need to workout in order to gain muscle. The only thing you will gain is fat.

It sounds like you are laying down the foundation for hitting the gym. The diet plays a huge aspect in the world of bodybuilding. And is the side alot of people have trouble getting down.

When do start training make sure you do the big three exercises: bench press to work the chest, squats to work your quads and glutes and deadlift to work mainly the lats and hamstrings. Sleep 8 - 10 hours a day. Train heavy. These are all parts of building mass

Finding time to workout is not very difficult as one might expect. You can workout during the lunch hour. Or perhaps go train before work and just get up an hour earlier.

Also, the protein in frozen products can be great. Most of the nutrients are kept in frozen food, depending on the process in which they are prepared. However, I am not too sure what exactly food you are referring too.

You also want to make sure you are getting enough calories to gain mass. And once you start working out the total caloric value that you consume in a day will go up to accomindate you working out.

Yup, you're not going to gain any muscle if you're not lifting, you've got half the equation down. Diet and excercise, literally hand in hand, neither will give you gains without proper attention to the other. If you want to gain 30 lean pounds, you're going to have to hit it hard in the gym. You're 165 at 18, so you have the potential to, I was 125lbs at 18, to 165-170lbs lean now, took me 5 years, I hope to hit 180 cut. The first thing you'll notice when you get into working out seriously is it may take a long time to gain weight, as you're losing fat while gaining muscle initially. Once over this hump and most excess fat is gone, you'll start to see gains in lean mass. My experience anyhow. Good luck, and lift often.

Lol how do you get stronger/gain muscle without lifting any weights at all? And as for no time in your schedule....we all make time for it. Full time student, 25 hours a week working, time with friends/girlfriend, and I still maintain a workout regime...

Here's where I will scratch my head, and I think you'll get chewed out for wanting to gain any weight, fat included, while I respect people's choices that one I don't understand. It's hard on your body and health in general, will make your progress more difficult when you do want to go for a better body, and is generally unattractive in every way to, at least when I was 18, the most important thing; girls.

Don't just try and put on fat, you will regret it, even if you want to be able to say you're heavier to the guys. I'm a 170lb guy in a league of 200-230lb friends, I feel you're pain haha, but to be a 200lb lump of blubber earns you less respect than being a fit 150.

For the love of God, no. Hungry Man Frozen Foods are terrible health wise. If I remember correctly it has nearly 900 calories and is full of saturated and trans fat. I can't remember the exact figures. It is best to stay clear of that.

Some good meats choices are chicken, turkey and lean ground beef. Or if you are a hunter wild game is good. ie. deer or moose Damn, I am craving some moose right now.

Does smoking somehow effects body mass, or it's just myth?

Yes, nicotine, and many other chemicals can suppress body weight and gains through numerous factors, including suppressing hunger. As a rule of thumb, removing chemicals and crap from your lifestyle will improve your body's performance. As for being skinny, good for you, sounds like your friends are tubs of lard, perhaps point that out next time they rail on you for being skinny rather than trying to get fat and join them.

Thanks, yeah.. I should really stop smoking. They don't make fun of me, even if they would, I don't care about it that much. I care what I think of my self, because I can ignore what others say not what I think,

OK, no more hungry man for me!
